![]() Same goes for wifi speakers vs bluetooth speakers. If the improvement in audio is very substantial if I go for something that doesn't have a battery, then I will consider it. I really don't care about a good battery life, but having a battery at all would be a big plus so that I can for example move it from room to room without cutting the audio, or just move somewhere else for 1-2hrs without taking the cable with me etc. (The Exos 9 is a bit out of my budget anyways) Something like an Aiwa Exos 9 is maybe about the absolute biggest size I would get, but might be slightly too big. It needs to be able to resist water splashes and preferably not break from falling down from table-heights every now and then, but I have no need for water submersion resistance or anything like that.Īs long as it doesn't take up more than at most about 1/10th to 1/5th of a medium-sized suitcase it should be fine, so it can be somewhat big. I will exclusively be using them indoors, at low or medium volumes, so has to sound good without cranking them. I guess I prefer a relatively flat, if not slightly warm sound signature, but as long as it's not overly boomy or muddy it should be fine. Has to be a substantial upgrade in sound quality and clarity/sound separation over my old Boom 2. Most likely looking to buy them used to get more for my money. The sound quality isn't exactly the best, however, so I'm wondering if there's any worthy upgrade that fulfills my requirements, and you guys seem pretty knowledgable about the market. ![]() Hi, I have a UE Boom 2 which I got because at the time it seemed to be the best compromise between ruggedness/sound/price (got it pretty cheap).
